Norwich, Norfolk, Thursday 10 February 2022 - BizClik Media Group (BMG) is delighted to announce that the company’s Sustainability Live event, held at Tobacco Dock, London, will be carbon neutral.

BMG has teamed up with Climate Partner to offset the carbon emissions the event may cause and ensure Sustainability Live lives up to its name.

Through the partnership, 50,000 kilograms of carbon dioxide emissions will be offset. This will be done mainly by supporting an afforestation project in Rio Kama, Nicaragua.

According to Climate Partner, the project in eastern Nicaragua, “has planted more than 1 million plants of a native species of giant clumping bamboo, covering 2,361 hectares while protecting an additional 1,000 hectares of old forest as a conservation zone”.

James Callen, Partnerships Director at BMG, said: “Sustainability LIVE is all about a focus on creating actionable change. It is important to us as a business to help facilitate this but also to lead by example.

“I am delighted that we have been able to offset our emissions by partnering with a wonderful project in Nicaragua and through careful selection of sustainable suppliers.

“Going forward we aim to offset our emissions for all events, as well as help drive our business to be completely carbon neutral by 2025.”

Sustainability Live is BMG’s first event of the year. It will welcome the world’s largest companies, who will come together to showcase their ESG (environmental, social and governance) strategies.

The focus of Sustainability LIVE will be real, actionable change and partnerships that make an impact.
