Environmental & Sustainable Policy

(Signatory to The Climate Pledge - Committed to Net Zero by 2040)

BizClik Media is committed to promoting sustainability across the organisation and within our global community.

As a signatory to The Climate Pledge, we are committed to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2040. This means we will regularly measure and report our greenhouse gas emissions, implement real decarbonisation strategies across our operations and value chain, and neutralise any remaining emissions with high-quality, credible offsets.

Our concern for the environment and our sustainability agenda are integral to BizClik Media’s professional activities and business management. We aim to follow and promote good sustainability practice, to reduce the environmental impacts of all our activities, and to help educate our team, clients and partners to do the same.

Our Sustainability Objectives

We will work towards continual improvement in sustainability by:

  • Complying with and where possible exceeding, all applicable legislation, regulations and codes of practice.

Delivering The Climate Pledge commitments:

  • Measure and publicly report greenhouse gas emissions annually (Scopes 1, 2 and material Scope 3).
  • Implement decarbonisation strategies aligned to climate science (energy efficiency, renewable electricity, low-carbon travel, sustainable procurement, waste reduction).
  • Neutralise residual emissions with additional, high-quality offsets on the path to net zero by 2040.
  • Integrating sustainability considerations into all business decisions.
  • Ensuring all staff are aware of this policy and equipped to implement it.
  • Minimising the impact of all office and transportation activities.
  • Making clients and suppliers aware of this policy and encouraging similar practices.
  • Reviewing this policy annually and updating our targets and progress.

Travel and Meetings:

  • Walk, cycle and/or use public transport to attend meetings wherever practical; air travel only where alternatives are impractical or disproportionate.
  • Travel to mainland Europe will usually be undertaken by train.
  • Avoid physical travel where effective alternatives exist (video/Zoom, consolidated meeting schedules).
  • Reduce commuting by allowing hybrid working (e.g., home on Tuesdays and Thursdays).
  • Use a carbon footprint calculator for business travel and report emissions to our annual inventory.
  • Prioritise low-carbon events (venue selection, supplier standards, virtual/hybrid options).
  • Minimise the use of paper and other office consumables; default to digital workflows.
  • Purchase eco-friendly or recycled consumables wherever possible.
  • Reuse or recycle office waste, including paper, computer supplies and redundant equipment.
  • Reduce energy consumption by purchasing energy-efficient equipment and applying good housekeeping.
  • Ensure timber furniture and timber products are recycled or sourced from FSC-certified suppliers.
  • Purchase fair-trade and/or organic beverages.
  • Increase the share of renewable electricity in our offices and improve building efficiency.

What We Will Do to Help Further:

  • Make targeted contributions to high-quality carbon projects to address residual emissions, while prioritising direct reductions first.
  • Ensure new employees receive sustainability onboarding and understand our net-zero 2040 commitments.
  • Publish this Sustainability Policy and annual progress on our corporate website for clients, partners and employees.
  • Set and track KPIs (e.g., kWh per FTE, % renewable electricity, business-travel emissions, waste diversion, supplier compliance) and review quarterly.
