2022: A year in review
• Kayleigh Shooter • Dec 19, 2022

2022 has been a rollercoaster of a year, with ups and downs and all things in between.

2022 has been a big year for BizClik, from a rebrand to expanding operations, let’s take a look back at this year…

We rebranded from BizClik Media Group to BizClik

This year, as our strategy shifts, so did our brand. We rebranded from BizClik Media Group to BizClik, we hope that this rebrand can help align our core values, offerings and beliefs.

Going into 2023, our slogan is “Disrupting digital media globally” as we plan to disrupt the industry through events, content, and so much more.

We had a successful year of LIVE events

Talking about events, we took to the stage seven times this year to deliver events on sustainability, finance, supply chain, and more.

This year, our events team pulled off:

  • Two Sustainability LIVE events
  • Two Procurement & Supply Chain LIVE events
  • One March8 event
  • One TECH LIVE event
  • One FinTech LIVE event

The teams worked tirelessly to deliver these events at stunning venues such as The QEII Centre and Magazine London.

We published more Top 100 lists

We carried on our Top 100 lists this year, publishing the Top 100 Companies, Top 100 Women and Top 100 Companies lists in multiple industries.

We launched March8 and EV Magazine

We love empowering women at BizClik, and this is why March8 was born, the platform aims to empower women in business through content, events, accreditation and mentorship.

March8 was launched on the 8th of March this year, celebrating International Women’s Day in the most applicable way.

The magazine was unveiled at a launch event at The Soho Hotel with a selected handful of inspirational woman in attendance.

Later in the year in October, we launched EV Magazine, a monthly magazine highlighting the innovations in electric vehicles.

EV Magazine will take to the stage on February 2nd to deliver an evening on “The future of EVs” streamed live from the London Transport Museum.

We expanded our operations around the globe

This year, we expanded our operations out to the United Arab Emirates and opened an office in Dubai.

Three years of rapid growth meant we had to expand, our Dubai office (along with our recently opened London office) are in full swing.

CEO, Glen White, commented: “Having a team based in Dubai means we can better serve our global audience and partners, the UAE has a vibrant business community and is rightly seen as a global hub. This allows us to better serve our existing partners in MENA and APAC, secure new partners, and create engaging, international content that reflects the global nature of our audiences.”

We launched our Summer Internship Programme

This summer, noticing the potential of young talent, we launched our Summer Internship Programme.

The programme was launched to introduce young people to the world of business, and allow them to expand their knowledge.

This summer, we had the privilege of two interns joining us in editorial and marketing.

Jack Hill, who assisted the marketing department in the summer, commented “My experience as an intern at BizClik has been extremely insightful and enabled me to develop my skills as a marketer which will inevitably help me in my final year of university and beyond”

We continued our fundraising efforts

This year, the BizClik Foundation continued its efforts to raise money for much needed causes and give to those in need.

The Foundation ran events such as the Charity Golf Day, Children In Need Bake Off, Christmas jumper day and so much more.

This Christmas, BizClik employees bought in gifts for the Benjamin Foundation for children and young people facing a disadvantaged Christmas and also donated shoeboxes full of sanitary items, food, and more, for homeless people. 33 boxes were donated to those in need.
