Saturday the 3rd of December is “Small Business Saturday” in the United Kingdom, the day celebrates successes of small businesses and aims to encourage consumers to 'shop local' and support their local independent businesses.

We asked our employees to name their favourite small businesses in Norwich, from barbers to cake shops, there were so many great businesses named.


Hustle Norwich

Hustle is a boxing fitness club aimed at bringing together the local community to de-stress from everyday life in a safe and inclusive environment. 

Hustle offers fitness classes as well as tailored personal training.

Hustle has locations in Norwich and Wymondham.

Flicka

Flicka is an independent Scandi inspired baby & children's boutique.

The independent boutique sells clothing, toys, bags and storage, and more.

The business was founded in July 2020 by Emma Biggie and Matt Bradshaw after they had their first child, Isamaya, and they struggled to find minimalistic yet sustainable decor and toys, so they created Flicka.

Courage Noble

Courage Noble is an independent barbershop offering “effortless style and good vibes”

Not only will you get a stylish haircut but you will also have the option of coffee or beer to refresh yourself with.

Bun Box

Bun Box is a Japanese street food stall on the Norwich Market, specialising in steamed buns that has been open for more than five years.

Other dishes on their menu include Katsu Curry, Donburi rice bowls, and more.

The Bun Box stall is located at stall numbers 72,73,82,83.


Lowell

Lowell is a record and vintage clothing shop located in the Norwich Lanes.

The shop was opened in 2021 by Jack Ames and Cat Stones as a safe space for creatives, their motto is "Community is Power" which is backed up by them donating their live music proceeds to charities such as MIND and UK Black Pride.

The shop also boasts a sofa area which allows people to come in and relax, without feeling the pressure to purchase anything.


Jive Kitchen & Bar

Jive Kitchen & Bar is Mexican Street Food restaurant and bar serving burritos, tacos, and so many more exotic dishes.

The kitchen and bar is located on Exchange Street in the city center.

Bake Away is a cake and sweet treat shop, offering up treats three days a week.

Ron's Kitchen was founded by Ron Uhrig, an American chef and baker with 34 years of experience.
